Level of apprenticeships

Luminate Education Group offers different levels of apprenticeships at our three further education colleges
(Leeds City College, Harrogate College, Keighley College) and University Centre Leeds.

Intermediate apprenticeships

The intermediate apprenticeship helps develop key skills and knowledge to progress within a chosen career path.

Advanced apprenticeships

Suitable for those who have previously completed an apprenticeship or have been within their job role for some time.

Higher apprenticeships

For those in senior roles who want to develop their skills further. Equivalent to completing a foundation degree or HND.

Degree apprenticeships

For people who want to be specialists in their field. They usually involve an undergraduate or postgraduate qualification.

We have developed more than 200 apprenticeship programmes across the group, covering everything from health and social care, to engineering, construction, business management and banking. Some of the organisations we work with employ hundreds of apprentices, while others employ just one. Whatever your business size, employers receive dedicated support and advice from day one.

Working with
employers

Collectively, we work with over 700 employers across the Leeds City Region, from large public sector organisations like the NHS and city councils, to small independent businesses. We align with employers to meet their business needs, and match them with highly relevant, quality apprentices.

We also operate the
Yorkshire Centre for Training & Development

The Yorkshire Centre for Training & Development consists of a team of specialists providing bespoke training for businesses across the region. We train staff at our college facilities, or on site, and work with nationally recognised awarding bodies to deliver the latest qualifications. We offer training programmes in HSE & compliance, CPD, digital learning, leadership and management, HR and basic functional skills, and can support your training budgets with free or partially funded courses for your employees.
